It’s March, and summer has already arrived.
You know how I know?
I take more than one swallow of water every half an hour.
Considering there is little you can do to survive the heat when your college seems to be in the path of the equator, and your department just happens to be the only one without access to even a single laboratory with an air conditioner. So we fall back to the primitive method of re filling our water bottles with chilled water from the cooler every hour, and deriving as much cool from it as we can.
So during summer days like these, the best way to beat the heat, is making yourself this gorgeous silky smooth Banana Black Grape smoothie, which makes you feel all kinds of cool from the inside. Also, it is purple. So that helps loads too.
Banana Black Grape Smoothie
Serves : 4
Difficulty : Easy Peasy. When that MS fellow in Amreeka can make it too, why can’t you?
Preparation Time : Nothing.
Cook Time : 5 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Yogurt (Dahi)
- 1 tbsp of Honey
- 1/4 cup of Milk
- A medium sized Banana
- 1 cup of Black Grapes
- Ice
Now, freak out your mother by taking out the never used before blender.
And then proceed to carefully pour in the yogurt into the blender.
Now, toss in the banana and grapes into the blender as well.
(If you are a banana milk shake person, have no fear in tossing the entire banana in. Though if you are a non banana milkshake person like me, make sure you use only half of the banana.)
Now, stop.
Admire the beauty of the black grapes.
Steal a grape from the blender, pop it into your mouth.
And sigh.
So very refreshing!
Now, coming back to your kitchen, add that splash of milk.
And finally, dunk in the gorgeous golden honey.
Can you see it glistening? Can you? Can you?
Such beauty in natural ingredients, isn’t there?
And because, tis’ summer time we talk of, we now help ourselves to a fistful of ice too.
Dum dum dum dee dee dum dum, Ice Ice Baby!
And in the name of Vanilla Ice, blitz!
It doesn’t take longer than 2 seconds for the purple to kick in.
It takes a while for all the skin of black grape to break down, so let it blitz for a bit longer than usual. Say about 45 seconds.
And you’re done. Pour out this gorgeous smoothie, and garnish. With a grape if you wish!
And yet again, in the name of vanilla ice, gulp this gorgeous smoothie down and let all kinds of cool absorb you from the inside.
Slurp.
I can do this all summer long.
